Your description is not very clear. 
If I understand correctly, you dropped your laptop. It&#039;s still running because you can hear the sound but there is no video on the screen, correct?

Take a closer look at the screen, maybe the image is still there but it&#039;s very dark? It&#039;s possible that you damaged the backlight lamp inside the LCD screen.
Also, connect the laptop to another monitor and test external video. Can you get video on the external monitor at all?</description>
