If the laptop battery is getting very hot while charging, most likely this is the battery failure. Remove the battery and use the laptop only on AC power until the battery is replaced. This will prevent the possible laptop damage.
Before you replace the battery, enter the BIOS setup menu on your laptop and find out what version of BIOS you have installed. Go to the manufacturer’s website and search for the BIOS updates. Download and install the latest version. Sometimes manufacturer’s release battery related fixes in the BIOS update. Updating the BIOS can fix the battery problem.
If it doesn’t help, replace the battery.
