The laptop screen was closed with a pen lying on the keyboard. Now the screen has a few cracks running from the point of impact. It looks like some liquid was spilled inside the screen. Some parts of the LCD screen still work fine except the area around the point of impact.

LCD screen damaged.

The cracked LCD screen cannot be repaired. You’ll have to replace the cracked LCD screen with a new one.
You still should be able to use the laptop with video output on the external monitor.
