sGn,

I play World of Warcraft – everything is set to “low” Setting – my resolution is 1440 x 900. Whenever I start playing – my system shuts down. I guess its a heat problem. What can I do?

Did you buy it brand new? If not, it's possible the heatsink is clogged with dust and has to be cleaned.
Also, listen for the cooling fan sounds. Can you hear the cooling fan spinning? There is a chance of bad fan.

I play World of Warcraft - everything is set to "low" Setting - my resolution is 1440 x 900. Whenever I start playing - my system shuts down. I guess its a heat problem. What can I do? - Is there a possibility to drill some holes into my lil buddy?

ticlar,

i have acer aspire 4520 and having same problem when playing Counter strike, so i have just simple solution to overcome this problem , try putting something underneath the laptop(for example , tv remote , used aaa battery or any square shape item) near the cpu’s fan , though it seems to bit odd while playing games but in my case this is the only one solution without opening your laptop.

Eventually you'll have to clean the heatsink.
But it's not necessary to disassemble the laptop. Just blow air into the air intake on the bottom of the laptop. This will remove most dust from the cooling module.

I have the same problem. The problem is definitely overheating!! I bought a laptop cooler, and whenever i'm gaming, i put my laptop on it such that the vent sits directly on top of one of the fans on the cooler. PROBLEM SOLVED!!! Try it! If it still gives u issues, then it must be something else other than overheating.

prajol,

tried tht but it still overheats,
I wanted a manual tht would teach me how to open my toshiba satellite m205 so tht i can take out the clog from the heatsink..

Check out www.irisvista.com/tech/
There is no Satellite M205 listed but it could be similar to Satellite A205. All general laptop disassembly steps should be similar.
